Understanding EuroJackpot: format, draw days and prize tiers
EuroJackpot is a pan-European lottery played across many countries alongside Germany. A ticket consists of 5 numbers from 50 plus 2 Euro numbers from 12. That combination produces 12 prize tiers — from 2 correct numbers plus 1 Euro number, up to 5 correct numbers plus 2 Euro numbers in the top tier.
Draws take place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays at around 20:00 in Helsinki. That is later than the LOTTO 6aus49 draw, so the official numbers reach German operators late in the evening. They appear on this site once they have been checked against the source.
Because the number pool is larger than in LOTTO 6aus49 and two Euro numbers have to be matched on top, the probability of hitting the highest tier is considerably lower than in the German classic — while jackpot sums are on average higher. Comparing the two lotteries therefore means comparing not just two tickets but two fundamentally different trade-offs between chance and possible prize size.
Our statistics and AI analysis treat EuroJackpot as its own separate data series: frequencies, hot and cold numbers and the estimated split risk are computed exclusively from EuroJackpot draws and never mixed with data from other lotteries.
